Abstract

This paper describes some reasons why a number of online textbooks and textbook supplements don't succeed well in the technical communication service course, and then describes the presenters's experiences developing an alternate means of teaching using online primary sources.

About the Author

Geoffrey Sauer is a scholar whose studies focus on new media in the context of the history of publishing. He is an associate professor at Iowa State University and the director of the EServer and the ISU Studio for New Media.
